Pertempuran Hong Kong

Pertempuran Hong Kong (8–25 Desember 1941), juga dikenal sebagai Pertahanan Hong Kong dan Kejatuhan Hong Kong, merupakan salah satu pertempuran awal Perang Pasifik dalam Perang Dunia II. Pada pagi yang sama dengan serangan terhadap Pearl Harbor, pasukan Kekaisaran Jepang menyerang koloni mahkota Britania di Hong Kong, pada saat yang sama ketika Jepang mendeklarasikan perang terhadap Britania. Pasukan pertahanan Hong Kong terdiri dari unit-unit Britania, India, dan Kanada, serta Unit Pertahanan Tambahan dan Unit Pertahanan Bantuan dan Korps Pertahanan Sukarela Hong Kong (HKVDC).
Dari tiga wilayah Hong Kong, para pertahanan meninggalkan dua wilayah daratan, Kowloon dan Wilayah Baru, dalam waktu seminggu. Kurang dari dua minggu kemudian, dengan wilayah terakhir mereka, Pulau Hong Kong, yang tidak dapat dipertahankan, koloni tersebut menyerah.
