William Beresford, Viscount Beresford ke-1 GCB GCH PC(/ˈkɑːr ˈbɛrɪsfərd/; 2 Oktober 1768 – 8 Januari 1854) adalah seorang jenderal dan politikus Britania Raya. Ia merupakan seorang jenderal Inggris dan juga Marsekal Portugal selama Perang Semenanjung bersama Adipati Wellington.

William Beresford lahir pada 2 Oktober 1768, anak luar nikah dari George Beresford, Earl Tyrone ke-2. Beresford menerima pendidikan awalnya di Yorkshire sebelum tahun 1785 dimana ia bersekolah di sekolah militer Prancis di Strasbourg.^[1]
