Jalur kereta api Timur Laut (Thai: ทางรถไฟสายตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือcode: th is deprecated ) adalah sebuah jalur kereta api di Thailand yang menghubungkan ibu kota Bangkok dengan wilayah timur laut Isan. Bagian dari Bangkok menuju Nakhon Ratchasima merupakan jalur pertama di Thailand yang dibuka untuk layanan penumpang.^[2] Jalur ini juga merupakan bagian penting dalam rute tengah jalur kereta api Kunming–Singapura.

Deskripsi rute

Jalur Timur Laut berbagi lintasan dengan Jalur Utara antara Bangkok dan Persimpangan Ban Phachi. Jalur ini memiliki tiga cabang utama:

Jalur Utama Ubon Ratchathani, antara Bangkok dan Ubon Ratchathani
Jalur Utama Nong Khai, antara Bangkok dan Nong Khai, yang bercabang setelah Nakhon Ratchasima. Jalur ini juga melintasi perbatasan Thailand-Laos menuju Thanaleng, dengan perpanjangan ke Stasiun kereta api Khamsavath yang dibuka pada tahun 2023.^[1]

SRT juga membangun jalur kereta pendek dari Bung Wai ke Ban Pho Mun yang dibuka pada 1 Agustus 1930,^[4] tetapi jalur tersebut ditutup pada 1 Desember 1954 karena pembangunan jembatan Seri Prachathippatai (dibuka secara resmi pada tahun 1955) yang memungkinkan koneksi antara kota Ubon Ratchathani dan Stasiun Ubon Ratchathani tanpa perlu kapal feri menyeberangi sungai Mun.

Sebagai bagian dari proyek jalur ganda, jalur kereta api baru antara Map Kabao dan Muak Lek dibangun untuk menghindari rute berliku di pegunungan melalui hutan Dong Phaya Yen. Bagian ini mencakup Terowongan Pha Sadet, yang kini menjadi terowongan kereta api terpanjang di Thailand dengan panjang 5,408 km, serta Terowongan Hin Lap. Jalur ini awalnya dibuka untuk layanan penumpang pada 28 Juli 2024.^[5] Namun, setelah tiga kereta melintasi terowongan tersebut, laporan mengenai debu dan sisa partikel konstruksi yang signifikan tertiup ke dalam gerbong terbuka membuat SRT menghentikan sementara layanan kereta untuk pembersihan jalur.^[6]^[7] Jalur tersebut dibuka kembali pada 16 Desember 2024, yang mengakibatkan penghentian layanan penumpang di stasiun Pha Sadet dan Hin Lap. Stasiun Hin Lap tetap beroperasi untuk layanan logistik ke pabrik semen TPI Polene.^[8]^[9] Bagian ini juga mencakup stasiun layang baru di Muak Lek untuk menggantikan stasiun saat ini, namun bagian ini belum dibuka.
