Brian Houghton Hodgson (1 Februari 1801^[1] – 23 Mei 1894^[2]) adalah seorang pionir naturalis dan etnolog yang bekerja di India dan Nepal ketika ia menjabat sebagai residen Inggris. ia merupakan anak kedua dari tujuh bersaudara dari Brian Hodgson (1766–1858) dan istrinya Catherine (1776–1851). Ia lahir di Lower Beech, Prestbury, Cheshire.^[3]
